Maria van Jesse Processie
Deze zondag wordt de jaarlijkse stille Maria van Jesse-processie gehouden! Dit is een traditie die teruggaat tot de middeleeuwen, toen een blinde vrouw haar gezichtsvermogen terugkreeg. Ze had een droom waarin haar werd verteld dat ze moest bidden voor een beeld van Maria van Jesse in wat nu de Oude Kerk is. Ze deed dat, woonde daarna de Mis bij en werd tijdens de consecratie genezen.
De processie begint na een korte gebedsdienst om 10.00 uur in de Sint-Hippolytuskapel (Oude Delft 118). Daarna lopen we in stilte rond de Oude Kerk en over het marktplein naar de Maria van Jesse-kerk. Daar wordt de processie om 11.15 uur afgesloten met een feestelijke Mis. Deze Mis zal deels in het Engels zijn.

This Sunday the annual silent Maria van Jesse procession will be held! This is a tradition that started in medieval times when a blind lady had her sight restored. She had a dream that she had to pray before a statue of Maria van Jesse in what is now the Old Church. She did so and attended Mass afterwards, and during the consecration she was healed.
The procession will start after a short prayer service at 10:00 in the St. Hippolytus chapel (Oude Delft 118). We will then walk in silence around the Old Church and across the main square to the Maria van Jesse church. There, at 11:15, the procession is ended with a festive Mass. This Mass will be partially in English.
