Amsterdam Students in Resistance against the Nazis: A personal story
This will be presented by Claire Begheyn on Saturday April 18th from 20:00 at the Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk, Keizersgracht 220 Amsterdam.
Our speaker, Claire Begheyn, will share the courageous experiences of Amsterdam students who dared to resist the Nazi occupation during World War II. Through personal accounts, family history, and never-before-heard details, she brings to life the bravery, fear, solidarity, and sacrifice of a generation of young people who refused to accept tyranny.
Claire will take us back to occupied Amsterdam, where ordinary students made extraordinary choices that helped shape the resistance movement in the city.
Mass and Potluck
The talk will happen at OLV (Keizersgracht 218, Amsterdam) after Saturday Mass (18:00) and a potluck. dinner.
