Women played an important role in the earthly life of Jesus. He was born from the Virgin Mary and after his resurrection he first appeared to his female disciples. In his respectful and open approach to women, he partially disregarded the social norms prevailing at the time he was on earth.
Men and women have equal value for Jesus and for the Church. At the same time, it is clear that they are not the same; each sex has received different tasks from God. It is beautiful to see how men and women complement each other. At the same time, it is important to stress the principle that they are always equal.
