Although Jesus wants us to live life to the full and to do so in all freedom (Lk 4:18), there is no such thing as absolute freedom. Also other people have rights, and sometimes these rights clash. Then it is important to know that there are certain fundamental rights. These include the right to life, work, freedom from slavery, freedom of opinion… and of religion!
Only in true freedom can you choose to respond to God’s love with love. No one can be coerced into believing something, nor can someone be forced to love. I can hope and desire for you to see how faith in Jesus can change your life for the better, but you should be free to choose otherwise. Regardless of their religion or convictions, minorities have the same fundamental rights as everyone. But whoever abuses their freedom needs to be stopped.
