Jesus was tortured, died and rose from the dead within three days (“Triduum” in Latin). This is the core of the Christian faith. On Maundy Thursday we remember the Last Supper, Jesus’ last meal together with his friends.
On this day Jesus instituted the Eucharist, along with the priesthood. On Good Friday we remember the suffering and death of Jesus. During the Easter Vigil we remember that Jesus is risen from the dead.
